The Lighthouse

Navigation

The Dutch Coastal Light Museum is located in the old lighthouse ‘Het hooge licht’. The 21-metre high lighthouse was built in 1893 and consists of six floors. Until 1974 the lighthouse was used as coastal light. Now, there is a permanent exhibition about the history of lighthouses, models, lamp switches, propane gas lanterns, radio beacon, photographic material and buoys. The highest point of the lighthouse provides a magnificent view of Hoek van Holland.
